This is an image of an oil painting I did when I was in art school in 1977. I did a lot of fast and furious oil sketches on 24 inch square Masonite panels. I wore this jean jacket day in and day out while painting. It is hanging on the chair in my studio space at Massachusetts College of Art and Design. In the background are large stretchers supporting a wooden panel used for painting. In the foreground is an antique toaster I had in my studio, I used it for some still life set ups. Now this work would be around 35 years old. Times flies.
This image was digitalized from a slide I had as there were no digital cameras at that time and now the painting is gone, leaving the slide as my only record of earlier works.

I like this image - the jean jacket - uniform of the late sixties and seventies - my generation as well. Always interesting to see an artist develop! L/F.
