This is a still life I did in 1979 of a pot by David Davidson. It was an interesting pot with a multi-colored glaze and a dripping lip on the pot. It was porcelain. I put a sprig from my schefflera plant for balance and a contrast of natural materials. A statement of beauty in simplicity.
I sold this work in the gallery off my house in Rumney, New Hampshire during 1979, the same year it was painted. I do not know it's whereabouts now,. I scanned an old slide of this art to share with you as this pre-dates the digital era.

That leaf, oh what a wonderful scene, and those violets and greens. The feeling of looking downward cast a whole world of mystery on this piece my friend. F/L.
