1906 red round barn sits along the Connecticut River Valley in Piermont, New Hampshire. I have spotted three in this area and they are all operational.
This beautiful masterpiece of American architecture was thought to be the ultimate in efficiency until the day of automation and then the barns went back to square architectural design. There are several along the Vermont and New Hampshire border here in Upper Valley which still remain used and in operation. If your interested in the history of them there is plenty of information on the web.

Thanks Rob, they are historical structures and we are lucky to have a few in our area which have been kept as working barns

Saw that round barn every week while living in Vermont. One of several still in existence in northern New England. Have not seen any round barns in northern California. Nice photographic capture of a unique architectural subject!

Hi Frank, thank you! As you can see, the snow is still with us here, so this should make you VERY grateful to be in CA right now. I do love white ground for shooting though, greatly simplifies the imagey.
