Connecticut River Valley & Cohase Region - Art

The Cohase region (which means place of wide valleys in Abenacki) is the region along the Connecticut River Valley between the Vermont and New Hampshire border in which most of this art and photography was created. This area also has a section called the oxbow in which the river meanders in curves and it quite scenic in many areas along the river. From the Vermont side one can see the White Mountains of New Hampshire in some places and even the summit of Mount Washington on a clear day. The Lower Cohase region includes the Vermont towns of Newbury (which includes Newbury Village, Wells River village and West Newbury village), Bradford, and Fairlee and the New Hampshire towns of Haverhill (which includes Haverhill Corner village, North Haverhill village, Pike village, and Woodsville village), Orford, and Piermont. I have also included works here from Upper and Lower Valley which fall farther south along the Connecticut River Valley
