This farm is in West Newbury and I painted en plein air on location until dusk had arrived. West Newbury sits on a ridge in the rolling hills of Vermont overlooking views of the Connecticut River Valley. It is a rural location with farms and with beautiful scenery of Vermont.

I went out into the street to see the road going up the hill and I stayed until dusk when the sun was setting and beaming bright into my eyes. Often I have thought of returning to do more on this painting but then I think plein air oil paintings can be finished at different stages too.
