Description
This is a looking down at the basin pool at Sabbaday Falls off of the scenic Kancamagus Highway in the White Mountain National Forest of New Hampshire.
This shows the Basalt Dike that formed from Magma during a volcanic period, over the years the dikes broke down and waters formed the Sabbaday Falls. These long striped images are very pronounced when viewing and add to the picturesque quality of the falls when climbing and viewing from the top.

This is amazing. Love the science behind this image Nancy! I wonder, do people swim there? On this hot day it looks really refreshing! Fantastic image!

I am not sure about the swimming Liz, but it is cooler in the forest there and a wonderful walkway going up the falls. Thank you
