Description
This is one of many I took from my archives of flower photography to post. I would attend the bulb show at Smith College in Northampton, MA anually when I lived near there. They had many specialy orchids, this one is a Cymbidium (boat orchid).
From Wikpedia...Cymbidium, or boat orchid, is a genus of 52 evergreen species in the orchid family Orchidaceae. The new Latin genus name is derived from the Latin cymba meaning boat. Its first known use was in 1815. They became popular in Europe during the Victorian era
