This painting is not of the White Mountain series yet I included it, as it is of the northern New England genre. It is painted from a real farm that sits in Norwich, Vermont. near the Connecticut River. I traveled back roads down the Connecticut River after spending time at this location and saw the many dairy farms lining the landscape following the trail to Massachusetts. I incorporated the cows as I painted. This is a very scenic area of the Upper Valley and it was a pleasure to see that some great dairy farms are still in
existence today. More can be found as one does back roads through Vermont. This is a studio work done from memory, impressions and photographs I took I felt during the trip.
