Description
Some more local color. Fairlee Railroad Depot, built in1848 is beautiful preserved and now houses an antique shop. During the summer and fall, along Route 5, in Fairlee, Vermont, which runs parallel to the Connecticut River, there are venders selling antiques and goods under the shade of these amazing old trees on weekends. Trains still run with cargo along these tracks and we can hear the whistles blow on occasion. FAirlee runs along the Connecticut River Valley in the Cohase region. The train tracks also run up the sides of the river going northbound.
