This is on Route 106 in Reading Vermont heading into the distant village of Felchviille. The remote and authentic Vermont village has around 600 residents and farmland of old and new abuts the village. A very picturesque scene in the winter due to the historical architecture and scenic Vermont surroundings. Felchville Village is a part of the town of Reading, Vermont.
The Town of Reading was chartered in 1761, and first settled by Andrew Spear in about 1772. The Village of South Reading was first settled by Ebenezer Robinson in 1788. In 1827 William Felch began constructing the first of many houses he was to build in the area known as Felchville. Amoung the early industries were many woolen mills, a chair manufacturer, a map maker and the famous Budd Hawkins Seed Company, the 1812 house.
