This is a still life, oil on canvas made in alla prima oil painting methods during one sitting of painting. It was done directly from a still life set up. There was lace in the backdrop that I minimized in appearance to give more energy and focus to the lantern. A nice work for Valentines Day or December Holidays due to the coloration and content.
