This is a digital photograph of a photograph I had on my refrigerator for years. I took it during my visit to the Tulum Ruins during a trip to Cozumel, Mexico many years ago. I always loved this image of these adorable girls in their beautiful hand embroidered white dresses. I guessed that they had dressed for the tourists to take their picture at the archeological site. I have not traveled in years, but this is one of my fond memories and a trip I will never forget. Mexico left a lasting impression on me and little did I know that in the future I would meet my partner to be, Roberto who was born in Mexico City. Roberto has passed on now but I learned so much more about the traditions, the culture, the arts, the strong sense of family, fantastic foods from him…a culture to be admired.
Most of my life’s experiences are not photographed as digital photographs but remain prints on old paper and slides too.

Precious darlings. A memory capture and beautifully done, I do love their pretty dresses. And I do adore children, they are my favorite subject for sure.
Nancy Griswold replied:
Sharon, thanks so much... today they are grown and who knows, a moment in the past.
