Description
This is one panel that goes in the mural Changes of the Seasons. It is titled Hobbits home as there will be painted many forest floor animals and forest floor foliage that will bring attention to the world beneath our feet as we hike through the woods. This painting is uploaded as it in in progress and it is a connective panel to the rest of this mural as it is shown in the gallery.
The Mural is titled Changes of the Seasons.
Changes of the Seasons is a mural painting in progress. It presently consists of seventeen 4 x 3 canvassed panels that join together to create an elongated picture image. Each panel is intended to stand alone a pictorial image, as well as being an integral part of the entire mural. The mural will make full circle so that there would be no beginning and no end to the image. This is one panel from the work in progress.
The mural is shown all together on these two web links, in case you would like to see it. I would like to get it permanently installed somewhere. I have shown it twice in shows, but now it needs a home. Randy Burns
Wow, Nancy, these trees, the roots and the their wonderful forms pull the viewer right into the work. If I were a child seeing this I would not be able to pull away. Wonderful. F/L.
Nancy Griswold replied:
Randy, thank you so much. This particular panel is only begun, I had many ideas for it stemming from my observations of the forest floor and tree roots here. I had to give up my studio where I painted the mural, I have continued to work on the panels when I can and only hope to return to it someday. That panel will also hold the "bog of muck" which the little leaf gets stuck in before rescued by a worm.

Heiko Koehrer-Wagner
My wife, Helga, and I like all of your murals! But this one together with it's title draws Helga right in. She says it's like the "Old Forest" in the "The Fellowship of the Ring" (she is a big fan of Tolkien). She even was immediately looking for Tom Bombadil and Goldberry :-). All your art is very creative. .. Heiko
Nancy Griswold replied:
Thank your wife too for her reflection, more to think on as I resume working on this panel
Deborah Benoit
Fabulous Nancy. I agree with Judy, it is great on it`s own!!
Nancy Griswold replied:
Thanks Deb, sometimes I think I make three or 4 paintings in one, each work is at a different stage
Judy Via-wolff
Love this even as a piece on it's own. Great "bugs eye" view!
Nancy Griswold replied:
Thanks so much Judy, I am working on uploading the entire mural now to share it, even though it is not complete, your comment keeps me inspired, thanks
