This still life is now hung in a home in Maine. It was done in one afternoon sitting of alla prima oil painting around 2008 when I was studying oil painting with Edward Mead of the Cape Cod Art Association. Our sessions were in Westfield, Massachusetts

I love how your colors in the fruit lead the eye in and around and again, that wonderful coloring in the white of the cloth. Rich textures are such a treat to enjoy here. F/L.

Beautiful still life! Strikes me odd that when a person compliments a painting, they say it looks like a photograph, and when they compliment a photograph, they say it looks like a painting.
Nancy Griswold replied:
Yes, well as an artist, I am sure you can find something better to say than that. A professional will know the difference, trust me on that one. Thank you, I was happy with the results in this afternoon painting exercise.
