Recently this oil painting has been used as an illustration for Chapter 21 in the new book about this extreme skier Dan Egan and the 30 years of experiences and riveting adventures he has had. Order the book at: https://www.white-haze.com/ It is truly an epic story of a life adventured and lived well. In 2016 he was inducted into the Hall of Fame Skiing with his brother John as the pioneer of extreme skiing. I am so fortunate to have met Dan in his early days and over the years he has offered me inspiration and support as a creative.
Dan Egan skis the steeps at Val d Isere, France in this painting. He is a pioneer extreme skier and also an all sports type of person; an adventurer, world traveler, master sailor, teacher, mentor,coach, film producer and so much more. He has a great spirit, is inspiring and a service to others.
Dan Egan recently featured in the new documentary film called "Ski Bum - A Warren Miller Story". This is excellent and tells the story of the growth of the ski industry around the world. Wonderful footage for any ski enthusiast and an interesting story for all.

I really like the balance of the cool tones with the warm in the sloping cliffs. The snow takes on a life of its own with the colors and shapes you have worked through it.
