This is the South Portland Lighthouse on the rocky coast of Maine. I was lucky to have a very sunny dat for this photo. There was a fabulous museum inside this lighthouse that gave a tour through the history of this building and area. The most interesting part for me was learning of all the dangers and shipwrecks here. The stories and the people that survived it and helped in rescues was also posted with historical photos.
