This is a still life I did in 1991. I was working towards realism at that time and painted from life. I can tell you about the objects here. The beer stein was my ex-husbands which had family history. The blue glass plate was from a set of depression ware that my mother had given me. The salt shaker is old cut glass and the food is squash and onions, probably harvested from my garden there. The table cloth was a special gift from my neighbor who came from Lithuania. It was a special weave from here native country and I so treasured that for years.
I gave this painting to my nephew as a wedding gift. He lives in Bellingham, WA, so it might be still with him. This was the last record I have of this painting, I scanned this image from a slide I had, so it can only be reproduced for a small card or print.
