This is still UNFINISHED oil painting, 39 x 24. I started in the winter of 2020 and ongoing with revisions to be made. I will upload the final painting when it is done and more reproductions will be available then. After weeks of isolation and winter I had to get outside and then became drailed from this work to accomplish other priorities, I do hope to return to finish it sometime soon.
So far the title will be "The Broken, The Seclusion, The Isolation, The Solitude, The Pandemic" and it is about a cluster of feelings and thoughts I have about these current pandemic and isolated times. This is a personal yet universal and expressive painting. I have written a full page of poetry which I am also continuously revising to go with this work of art which narrates a bit of a description about the things in this work. .
I left the painting and poetry on the easel last spring 2020 as I had been wintered in and working in isolation for many months and when spring arrived it was time to leave it and go outside as much as possible. I am hoping to return to finish this soon, but have some other works I started ahead of this. I have more ideas for the revisions and changes on the right side. This is painted in layers as I varnish in between the layers of paint to build it slowly.
I thought I would share the progress so far as I am not sure just when I will be able to return to it. The NEW NORMAL has been challenging me all year long, eating up a lot of creative and work time.
