This is a depiction of the Granville Green in Granville Massachusetts with the popular Granville Country Store in the background. I started this oil on location and finished it in my studio area. It is somewhat a dream work showing different periods of history and time in one work. Today, the scene looks pretty much the same around Memorial Day and Independence Day.
