Description
This small 10 x 8 plein air oil painting I did on location during a blustery late fall afternoon. It is painted alla prima which means wet into wet on a brightly stained canvas.
I was drawn to the character of this old apple tree with the winding pathway from the road which led to it. It was done on location in the hills of Newbury, Vermont at the home of a fellow artist.
