Description
This is a small oil painting I did of a garden at an artist's house in New England. It was the time of year when bulbs flowered and we decided on an afternoon of outdoor painting. I find painting on smooth board very slippery, yet it can lend itself to spontaneous and unpredictable brushwork, leaving the painting more fresh and liquid looking.
