10/8/2023 Featured in a group titled Old Masters - Painters and Traditional Arts on Fine Art America
I did this in 1975. It is a detail from a larger painting I destroyed and cut this image out of the canvas. This is part of the seed set for my Native American paintings that came much later. This piece was done before art school. I felt a sense of freedom working with acrylic wash straight onto canvas with no primer. I experimented a lot with the acrylic paints and took a liking to painting large at this time.
