This started as a plein air oil painting off a back road in Sugar Hill New Hampshire. I worked on location with another local painter and had a nice outing gazing upon this amazing view of the valley below. Cannon Mountain Ski Area is at the at the end of Franconia Notch in the White Mountains. The lupine flowers were in bloom in the foreground. The oil painting here was finished in my studio during the following winter.
This painting comes in a Vintage Victorian Era designed wooden frame shown with real gold-bronze leaf. the sculpted areas do show cracking and there is flaking of the gold leaf. It is made by Ateliers Armont Dutry in Belgium. The label for is on the back of the frame. It can be ordered directly from this link:
