This is Joseph Firecrow. I photographed him at a concert in Litchfield, Connecticut. Later I was chosen to co-design a CD cover for him with his wife. These photos were never used for the CD, but I enjoy sharing them now. His website is http://www.josephfirecrow.com/ and there are many CDs of his music available at that site. He is really worth seeing in any concert, personable and very informative about his roots of Native American Music. I was so fortunate to work with his wife on this project. There are a couple more photographs in this gallery of him with other instruments.
Joseph has now passed on leaving family and his music for all to enjoy.

Full of emotion . It a moment of history to capture this for a cd . My grandson has native roots and I can see how this will result in the change of native people . Recordings will be so very important for some tribes . VF

A beautiful piece, Nancy. How wonderful to have the opportunity to get to know him and work on his CD cover! LF

Thanks Bonnie, it was a great opportunity but now, sadly, Joseph Firecrow has passed on.

What a great tribute to Joseph. It is a wonderful thing seeing how you honor Native American Indians. I love it Nancy. F/L.

Randy, Joseph has now passed on. I was so lucky to hear him play and learn more about the Cheyenne form him. He left a legacy of his incredible work and you can find it online, such soothing music. Thanks for your compliment, so much
