Artist's Description
Plymouth Fountain Rock is the first of a large series of photographic explorations I did in a series called Rock Gods and Nature Deities. It was the beginning of working with photographic reflectives and allured me eeper to discover the many anthropomorphic shapes that were found as I worked on these. This piece was taken from photographs of the Plymouth Fountain in the center green of Plymouth, New Hampshire. The fountain still stands today and as I have now returned to New Hampshire, I enjoy seeing it again as it has a deeper meaning to me than it will for others.
This series of fine art photography I began years ago when I first lived and hiked in the mountains of New Hampshire. I was always visually captivated with the rock formations and often saw figurative suggestions in the scenes I was looking at.
