These bees are just a few that were out in the heat of the day on my large sunflower plant. They were gathering pollen and filling their sacs. Both bumble bees and honey bees can have these pollen sacs. My favorite part of the photograph is the shadows the bees cast on the lower left onto the pedals. It is almost like the bees and their shadows together are doing the work.
