Oil on Canvas I did of a Santa Clara Potter based on historical photographs. The Santa Clara Pueblo is famous for the black-ware pottery created by Maria Martinez and her family who brought back the traditional methods of creating black-ware pottery through a wood-firing process and burnishing the clay. They also do many other techniques that giving the pueblo famous notoriety for their pottery.
