This oil on Masonite Panel is 24" x 24" and sold to a doctor while I lived in Rumney, New Hampshire in 1980 and had a gallery space there. This scene depicts the kitchen area which still exists and looks like this today. I did in fact cook on this wood cook-stove. I had a huge garden and harvested vegetables every autumn. The cat, who's was named "Meadmore". This kitchen area and harvest are painted on location in this old 1800's farmhouse. Prosperity was and still is gratitude for harvest yield and the opportunity to paint. Notice the Grand Wood print on the wall called American Gothic.
Back then there were not digital cameras and I touch this up the best I could from a slide conversion. I recommend only small sprints and reproductions.
See https://www.etsy.com/shop/NGARTSITE my original oil painting gallery today.

Oh my, Nancy, I love this with its vintage appeal, quaint coziness and delightful touches (the cat, the boots). This looks like it was so much fun to paint.
