Mrs. Potatopede and her Little Sprout
About Potatopedes: They are found in cool, dry and dark places in old farmhouses throughout New England. Often, they are in brown paper bags or corrugated cardboard boxes in the early spring. These creatures make it to vegetable gardens outside after the soil can be worked. They burrow about 4-5” below the soil surface where they hibernate to create new offspring through the summer. Potatopedes can be all different colors, sizes and types; some are red, some brown and others can be lighter with thin skins.
Made from my home grown potatoes.
