Lake Willoughby in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. This is on Route 5a which hugs the edge of Lake Willoughby, there is a small boat in the distance which can barely been seen. One of many photographs in my gallery titled Lake Willoughby. It was a very hot day and was an exciting lightning and thunderstorm which passed over the ridge. Swimming was not so successful as the water was very cold but I stayed for a while to feel the fine and beautiful sand beneath my feet, it was similar to an ocean floor with white sand waves undulating beneath the shallow sections. The water was crystal clear. Just a beautiful place for restoration of the soul. More on this below
From Wikipedia:
Willoughby Lake is part of the Saint-François River watershed, its waters eventually reaching the St. Lawrence River in Canada. Willoughby River is the outlet from the lake and runs north through Brownington to feed into the Barton River. The Barton River is tributary to Lake Memphremagog and thence to the Magog River, then the Saint-François River, then the St. Lawrence River, and ultimately to the Gulf of St. Lawrence.

Such a wonderful lighting in this special scene and those great clouds I love so much. So great Nancy. F/L.

The beautiful composition you have captured here along with that ephemeral lighting is a joyous event in itself Nancy. F/L.

This place is it for me Nancy. What a view with the clouds I always dream of that almost seem to be held and balanced by those great mountains. You see heaven too. I know it. F/L.
