Top Finisher in The Mirror Contest, Fine Art America, April 25, 2012, 143 Submissions

This is a posting of a much earlier artwork I did when I was attending Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Over 35 years ago, in 1977. I did a series of large pastel drawings of the rooms in my apartment before doing an oil series of sketches. I finished with this large 8 x 5 foot oil painting. I was exploring the trails in warping perspective so I could include a wide angle view of the doorways and rooms.

In later years I reused the stretcher bars and this oil is no more, but I did have a photograph of it that I scanned to share this small image with you. See some of the other pastels and sketches in this gallery which led to this large oil.
